New Staff Spotlight: Meet Elizabeth Probasco

We’d like to introduce you to Faith’s newest team member, Elizabeth Probasco! She has been a friendly face at Faith for many years and just recently joined staff as the new Mobilization Director! Want to learn more about Elizabeth and her new role here at Faith? Read on for more!

Tell us a little bit about your new role here at Faith.

My title is Mobilization Director, which is a fun way of saying that I get to help people at Faith follow Jesus’ calling on their lives to serve here at Faith, in our local community, and/or around the world.

It’s my vision to see people at Faith joyfully serve others—both inside and outside the family of God—so that they too can deeply experience the same abundant life of joy, peace, and freedom that we have found in Jesus!

What brought you to pursue full-time ministry?

I got a degree in hospitality management from CSU, and I worked in the hotel industry in many capacities. Most recently, I was a conference and event planner at Embassy Suites in Loveland. I worked there for about 7 years and loved it, but for many years I’ve had a heart for outreach and ministry to those who don’t yet know Jesus. The Lord very clearly moved me from the corporate world when I was furloughed and eventually laid off from my job at Embassy Suites last year due to COVID. That layoff led to about a year of getting to work on staff at SERVE 6.8, a wonderful, Christ-centered nonprofit here in Fort Collins whose focus is resourcing and equipping the local church to serve the poor. Working at SERVE 6.8 helped to confirm my vision for gospel outreach, and the Lord then clearly opened the door for me to come work at Faith helping others to engage in the work God has called each of his followers to—serving others in order to make disciples.

How long have you been a part of Faith?

I started attending Faith with my family about 14 years ago when I was in high school. After college, I looked around a bit for churches, but I decided that Faith wasn’t just my family’s church—it was mine. I love our Faith family, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it. I’ve been involved in many ways over the years, from worship ministry to college ministry to Stephen Ministry; it’s surreal and a dream come true to get to serve full-time here at Faith!

Favorite place you’ve ever visited?

That’s a hard question! Travel is one of my favorite pastimes, and I have been to many places that I love. If I had to pick a favorite, I think I’d choose Barcelona, Spain. I adored the food, the culture, and the overall feel of the city—it’s definitely a place I’d love to visit again someday!

Do you have any fun summer plans?

After not getting to do many of the normal summer activities last summer, I’m relishing the upcoming “normal” summer treats: Rockies games, camping, drive-in movies, trips with friends and family, and live music!
