Chris & Ciara Stastny were a special part of our church family for a year and continue to be a neat part of our extended family as they lead Christ the Rock Community Church in Timnath.
When Chris fulfilled his year-long church-planting residency at Faith, we had a front row seat to the kind of faith it takes to plant a church. How do you craft a vision and ministry strategy for a church that doesn’t exist yet? Will people come? Where will those people come from? What is the best way to grow a new church? There may be no better reminder that we are totally dependent of the work of Jesus through his Holy Spirit than watching a church plant come to life.
We are grateful the Stastnys followed God’s call to uproot from gloomy Illinois in exchange for sunnier skies and an opportunity to watch Jesus at work through their new church. Enjoy watching their story!
